A potential entry advantage to watch
I am watching the prospect of a new Eco City plot draw in New Chandigarh. Based on my current market inputs, the expected rate is around ₹65,000–₹70,000 per square yard. This is my indicative expectation, not an officially notified GMADA scheme price.
The launch announcement and draw schedule are awaited. The attraction for a successful applicant would be the possibility of acquiring a plot below comparable resale prices. If the notified rate falls within this range and the total acquisition cost remains meaningfully lower than comparable plots, the draw could offer a useful entry-price advantage.
That advantage must be assessed against the exact phase, plot size, location, development stage, additional charges and allotment conditions. A lower initial rate is not a guaranteed resale premium or profit.
What it means for your next step.
My view is that this is an opportunity worth tracking while awaiting the official scheme brochure. Once it is available, buyers can compare the confirmed pricing, eligibility, payment terms and possession conditions before applying.
